This Privacy Policy describes how the Website teamspeak3-servers.eu processes personal data of its Users when browsing the site, adding TeamSpeak 3 servers, posting comments, voting/rating servers and purchasing TIP status.

1. Personal data we process

We process the following categories of personal data:

  • Data when adding a Server – e‑mail address, IP address of the device, technical information about the Server (IP/hostname, port, name, description), which may in some cases indirectly identify a person.
  • Data in comments and ratings – name or nickname, e‑mail address, IP address of the device, comment content, server rating and timestamp. If you sign in with Google, we also store your Google account's unique identifier ("sub") to verify you only vote or comment once per day.
  • Technical and operational data – IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, HTTP headers, browser and device information, cookies and similar identifiers, logs and security records (e.g. Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam protection).
  • TIP status and payment data – identification of the Server for which TIP status is purchased, and information about the payment (amount, timestamp, transaction or bank transfer ID) that you, PayPal or Stripe provide to us. TIP status may be purchased by anyone, not only the Server owner, but only as a private individual - when ordering, we request the purchaser's name, billing address (street, city, postal code, country) and e-mail address, used solely to issue the invoice/receipt for the payment and to send confirmation that TIP status has been activated. We do not store or have access to payment card numbers or bank account credentials - when paying by card, you enter them directly into Stripe's secure interface, which we never see or store.
  • Data from cookies and third‑party scripts – data from Google tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads/AdSense, Google Sign‑In) and Cloudflare (Turnstile) for traffic measurement, marketing, sign‑in and security. Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies are only loaded after you give consent in the cookie banner, see section 8.

2. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Operation and management of the Website and services – displaying the server list, enabling Users to add, edit and delete Servers, managing comments, basic security (logs, abuse detection, bot protection – Cloudflare); legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interest of the Operator.
  • Communication with Users – responding to requests and inquiries, sending important service messages; legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interest.
  • Accounting and legal obligations – recording payments for TIP status and retaining data required by tax and accounting laws; legal basis: compliance with legal obligations.
  • Analytics and service improvement – measuring traffic, monitoring Website performance and diagnostics (e.g. Google Analytics); legal basis: legitimate interest in improving services, or consent where required.
  • Marketing and advertising – displaying personalised and non‑personalised ads and measuring campaign performance (Google AdSense); legal basis: your consent given in the cookie banner, which you may withdraw at any time.

3. Retention periods

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or for the period required by law.

  • Server and comment data – as long as the Server/comment is published on the Website or until deleted at the User’s request.
  • IP addresses and logs – typically for several months to a few years for security and diagnostic purposes, depending on technical settings and legal requirements.
  • Payment data – for the period required by tax and accounting regulations (usually 5–10 years).
  • Cookies – according to their type, from the end of the session up to several months or years, as determined by the respective providers (Google, Cloudflare).

Once the retention period expires, personal data are securely deleted or anonymised.

4. Recipients of personal data

We may share personal data with the following categories of recipients:

  • hosting and infrastructure providers (database, e‑mail delivery),
  • Google (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Sign‑In) – only to the extent you use or consent to these services,
  • Cloudflare (anti‑spam and bot protection - Turnstile),
  • PayPal (if you choose to pay for TIP status via PayPal),
  • Stripe (if you choose to pay for TIP status by card via Stripe),
  • accountants, tax advisors and legal representatives,
  • public authorities where required by law or binding decisions.

Where required by GDPR, we conclude appropriate data processing agreements with such recipients.

5. Transfers to third countries

Some recipients (Google, Cloudflare, PayPal, Stripe) may process personal data on servers located outside the EU/EEA, particularly in the United States. In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards under GDPR are in place (such as standard contractual clauses or other legal transfer mechanisms).

6. Your GDPR rights

As a data subject under GDPR, you have in particular the following rights:

  • right of access to your personal data,
  • right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data,
  • right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in cases defined by GDPR,
  • right to restriction of processing,
  • right to data portability where technically feasible and permitted by law,
  • right to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes,
  • right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, in cases defined by GDPR.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates GDPR or other applicable laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular with the data protection authority in your EU Member State of residence, place of work or alleged infringement.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The Website uses three categories of cookies:

  • Necessary – ensure basic functionality and security of the Website (sign‑in, session management, Cloudflare Turnstile anti‑spam protection). These cookies are always loaded and cannot be disabled in the cookie banner.
  • Statistics – measure traffic and Website usage (Google Analytics). Loaded only after you give consent in the cookie banner.
  • Marketing – used to display and measure advertising (Google AdSense). Loaded only after you give consent in the cookie banner.

On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline statistics and marketing cookies; you can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the Website footer. You can also control cookies via your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Website.

9. Security of personal data

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, in particular by using security services (e.g. Cloudflare), restricting access to databases, regularly updating systems and logging traffic.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure; therefore, you use the Website at your own risk.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, in particular to reflect changes in our processing activities, legal requirements or technical solutions. The current version is always available on the Website and becomes effective on the date of its publication, unless a later date is specified.

If the changes are material, we may notify you in an appropriate way (for example by highlighting the update on the Website).
